His career in architecture—spanning private practice and leadership roles in international design firms—has deeply informed his artistic approach, lending clarity, discipline, and an eye for form to every canvas. Mike’s paintings are rooted in a realist tradition but often lean toward capturing the unique and iconic—a perspective shaped by his years in design and enriched by studio studies under Dennis Cheaney and Jason Polins in Boston. Since relocating to Palm Desert in 2017, Mike has immersed himself more fully in visual art, working in watercolor, oil, and acrylic to render subjects that balance narrative and nuance.
