Colleen Leahy is a printmaker currently living and working in Palm Desert. She is a recent transplant from Bainbridge Island, WA. She began her printmaking practice in 2010, at Inkgarden Studios on Bainbridge Island. Following several exhibitions on the island, she joined Seattle Pantmakers and began a multiyear education in Printmaking at Pratt Institute in Seattle. Pratt provided experiences in teaching, lithography, mezzotint, screen printing, and traditional woodblock.
In 2012 she attended Gage Academy in Seattle and completed both Drawing and Painting Curiculums. She also exhibited work in Seattle, California, Colorado and Idaho. She was part of Gage Gallery in Seattle, which emphasizes Pacific Northwest Art.
Since relocating to Palm Springs, Colleen has been juried in to the California Society of Printmakers, and is also a member of Desert Art Center and Palm Desert Artists Council.
She received a BA Journalism at Washington State University and MBA in Finance from the University of Washington.
