About Your Artists Retreat in Rural Dubrovnik

Kameni Dvori (Stone Mansions) is a remarkable family-run retreat in the scenic Konavle Valley, just a short drive from historic walled city of Dubrovnik. This charming estate embodies agroturizam, a tradition where agrarian families welcome visitors into their homes, offering authentic local cuisine and a glimpse into daily rural life. Guests stay in beautifully restored stone mansions, savor homemade specialties, and experience the warmth of Croatian hospitality firsthand.

More than just a place to stay, Kameni Dvori provides a cultural immersion—an opportunity to connect with traditions, savor farm-to-table flavors, and hear the stories of the people who sustain the land. For many travelers, it becomes the most cherished part of their journey.

Within the retreat, guests can enjoy a communal swimming pool, a spacious kitchen, and a welcoming dining area.

Kameny Dvori is renowned for pioneering the revival of traditional Croatian home cooking, particularly the “ispod peke” method—an open-fire technique that has been cherished for generations.

The retreat is run by a three-generation of the same family committed to sustainability, growing all-organic produce and maintaining their own vineyards, which yield high-quality grapes for their exceptional Family Reserve wines. Guests are invited to stroll through the vegetable garden and handpick seasonal ingredients for their daily meals, adding a personal touch to their dining experience.

Stay at a charming countryside retreat just 30 minutes from Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Alongside your art sessions, you’ll enjoy gourmet meals, cultural excursions, and opportunities to meet and learn from local artists. Optional wine tours and day trips to nearby regions are also available.
